Portugal is the 9th safest country of the world

According to a ranking of 121 nations with regard to their relative peacefulness prepared by the British magazine The Economist, Portugal was considered to be the ninth safest country in the world.

Low labour conflicts in Portugal

According to the Green Book on Labour Relations, published by the Ministry for Labour and Social Solidarity, Portugal is the European country with the lowest level of labour conflits. In the years 2000-2004 in average about 20 days per thousand Portuguese workers were lost due to striking. Austria lost more than 80 days, Norway 75 and Hungary 48.

Increase of Economic Climate Indicator in Portugal

The National Statistics Institute of Portugal (INE) announced in April that March's Economic Short-term Synthesis shows that the Economic Climate Indicator, that reflects the perspectives of entrepreneurs of industry, construction, commerce and services, increased in March to the highest value of the past six years.
