- Increase of Economic Climate Indicator in Portugal
- The National Statistics Institute of Portugal (INE) announced in April that March's Economic Short-term Synthesis shows that the Economic Climate Indicator, that reflects the perspectives of entrepreneurs of industry, construction, commerce and services, increased in March to the highest value of the past six years.

- The International Monetary Fund reviews an economic growth for the Portuguese economy, by an increase of the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) from 1,5% to 1,8% in 2007. The Spring Economic Forecast disseminated today estimates an increase of the national economy up to 2,1% in 2008.
