Portugal is the world's seventh best country regarding e-government

The Brown University's study "Global E-Government Report", presented yesterday by the Cabinet of the National Coordinator for the Lisbon Strategy and the Technological Plan, ranks Portugal on seventh place of 198 countries of the world in the ranking of their development concerning electronic government, and as second best country of the 27 countries of the European Union, only overcome by Great Britain. The performance of Portugal concerning the practises of electronic government made it advance 41 positions in the world's ranking, and in European terms as well 16 positions compared to 2006.

Vila Verde and Amares prepare technological park with 100 hectare

Next to the river Homem a business park with 100 hectare dedicated to technology, innovation and knowledge is planned by the municipalities Vila Verde and Amares, involving several partners of the region.
The idea is to create an industrial pole of "Excellence" in this zone which is capable to attract high quality companies, provide new jobs and create wealth in the region.

Portugal é o sétimo melhor país do mundo em governo electrónico

O estudo "Global E-Government Report" da Universidade Brown, avançou ontem o gabinete do Coordenador Nacional da Estratégia de Lisboa e do Plano Tecnológico, colocou Portugal no sétimo lugar de entre 198 países do mundo no ranking de desenvolvimento do Governo Electrónico, o segundo melhor país de entre os 27 da União Europeia, apenas ultrapassado pelo Reino Unido. O desempenho de Portugal no que concerne às praticas de governo electrónico fez com que o país subisse 41 posições no "ranking" mundial, e em termos europeus também melhorou tendo passado da 16ª posição em 2006.

Vila Verde e Amares preparam parque tecnológico com 100 hectares

Um parque empresarial com 100 hectares destinado a indústrias de base tecnológica e voltado para a inovação e o conhecimento está a ser projectado pelos municípios de Vila Verde e Amares para junto do rio Homem, envolvendo um conjunto de parceiros da região.
A ideia é criar naquela zona, junto ao nó da variante, um pólo industrial de «excelência» que seja capaz de atrair empresas de qualidade, dar emprego e criar mais riqueza na região.
