In its Economic Outlook which has been released today, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) maintains growth expectations for the Portuguese economy for 2007 and 2008.

According to the Report Paying Taxes 2008, Portugal is one of the few countries that have reduced in 2007 its corporate income tax and where two taxes on profit can be paid together.

According to the Global Competitiveness Report 2007-2008 (GCI) released by the World Economic Forum, Portugal occupies the 40th position in the Global Competitiveness Index within 131 countries and the 17th position in the context of the EU.

Em relatório de previsões económicas divulgado hoje, a Organização para a Cooperação e Desenvolvimento Económico (OCDE) mantém as expectativas de crescimento da economia portuguesa para 2007 e 2008.

De acordo com o Relatório Paying Taxes 2008, Portugal é um dos poucos países que reduziram em 2007 a carga fiscal sobre os lucros das empresas e onde dois impostos sobre os rendimentos podem ser pagos conjuntamente.

Segundo o Global Competitiveness Report 2007-2008 (GCI) divulgado pelo World Economic Fórum, Portugal ocupa a 40ª posição no índice global de competitividade que ordena um conjunto de 131 países e a 17ª posição no contexto da UE.
