Portugal is ranked 13th regarding its business environment: This is one of the conclusions revealed by the “Global Enabling Trade Report” published by the World Economic Forum which includes 118 countries. Considering the 27 EU member states Portugal ranks 7th.

Portugal's improved business environment will help sustain economic growth.: According to OECD’s Economic Outlook nr 83 published in June 2008 Portugal's expansion continued in 2007. The budget deficit shrank further in 2007, falling below 3% of GDP.
